Full of comedy, tragedy and all the other theatrical elements today's audiences demand, Shoot Faster..., follows the lives of two brothers at the end of the American Civil War, told through the letters they wrote one another.

After unending pressure from friends and families, writers Anderson and Krentz have agreed, reluctantly, to bring this amazingly funny story to life.

The Apollo Studio Theater is the lucky recipient of this historically inaccurate play's world premier.

SYNOPSIS:
As Chauncy Binjimmons ends his service for the Confederacy and heads West, his brother Adam navigates the pressures of family life at their childhood home in Virginia. It is in the letters that a small boy grows up to lead a savage nation. It is in these letters that the mysterious comings and goings of Adam and Chauncy's father are finally exposed. And it is in these letters where the brothers raucous adventure, sleazy love, and nearly accidental triumph are finally revealed!

AMANDA BLAKE DAVIS (Director) is a veteran of The Second City e.t.c., where she wrote and performed in five original revues and received a Jeff Award.

JOE ANDERSON (Writer/"Chauncy") was a mainstage understudy and touring co. member of The Second City-Detroit for two years and performs in 30+ states every year.

DEMIAN KRENTZ (Writer/"Adam") works for Oprah. No he can't get you tickets. Krentz is a digital media artist and performs with many Chicago improv and sketch comedy groups.

Mary McClenahan ("Karen Chapman") recently performed with Urban Theatre Company and had a leading role in the Discovery Channel's "Escaped" series.

Mike Casey(Musician/"Troy") plays with the Oak Park Farmer's Market Band, and the Sag Valley Boys Bluegrass Band. He founded Casey Music in Oak Park, IL.
